Pleasanton, Tx., (November 1st, 2008) With the 2008 racing points season complete, I-37 Raceway' 1/4 mile semi-banked clay oval just south of San Antonio roared back to life with a $1,000 to win show for the Outlaw Modifieds, Sportmod/Limited Modifieds and Pure Stocks. Also added was a 100 lap " Enduro shootout" for the new class in 2009, the Front Runners, an all front wheel drive beginners class.

| Points season winds down at Thunderhill Raceway, 9-20-08

With only two points races in the Thunderhill Raceway local classes, the points battle is still up for grabs for two of the three classes. In Super Stocks, National ASA Short Track Series points leader, Cary Stapp has the Super Stock title in the bag, his fifth in Super Stocks. Thunder Stocks points are tight as Joey Tschoerner holds a slim 33 points lead over past champion Gary Chancellor. Homer Pitner leads Team Aramendia in Grand Stocks, with James Aramendia 62 markers back, and Carolyn Aramendia another 11 points behind brother-in-law, James.

| Torres take Sportmod title, Fambro first Street Stock feature @ I-37 Raceway

Pleasanton, Tx.,(Sept. 19th, 2008) After what seemed like a month of no racing at Pleasanton's 1/4 mile, semi-banked dirt track. I-37 Raceway roared back to life Friday night with the second to last regular points race of the 2008 season. Of course with a scheduled week off, two rain outs and Hurricane Ike it had actually been 4 weeks since the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Southern Sportmods, Super Stocks, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks hit the track.

Waco, Tx., (Sept. 5th, 2008) Waco’s Heart O’ Speedway high-banked ¼ mile clay oval hosted the Fourth Annual IMCA Southern Sportmod Nationals featuring many of the best the south, central regions best drivers from four states. The long awaited showdown between the top two Sportmod drivers in the state, Keith White and Jeff Turner never materialized as Turner opted for the Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa.
